Our guarantee
Results guarantee: how it works
Last updated 2026-10-25
If your follow-up long-term test comes back at or above 200 Bq/m³, we return and adjust or upgrade the system at no cost until it doesn’t. Conditions apply.
This page summarizes the guarantee in plain language. The exact terms are in the mitigation contract you sign, and that contract governs if there is any difference.
What is covered
- A sub-slab or other radon mitigation system that [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] designed and installed at your property, under a signed mitigation contract.
- The result: a follow-up long-term test (at least 91 days) taken under Health Canada’s protocol, at the same locations tested before mitigation, within [12 months] of installation, that comes back at or above 200 Bq/m³.
What we’ll do
If that happens, we return, assess the system and adjust or upgrade it at no charge to you, then retest, until the long-term result is below 200 Bq/m³. Our obligation is to correct the system. It does not extend to refunds, health outcomes or losses beyond the system itself, except where the law says otherwise.
What you need to do
- Keep the fan powered and running, and the system unaltered. Don’t cap, move or disconnect it.
- Run the follow-up test to protocol. We offer one with the installation. Tests by other providers count if done by a C-NRPP certified professional with a listed device.
- Tell us within 30 days of getting a result at or above 200 Bq/m³, and give us access to the property.
- Tell us about renovations, new openings in the slab or foundation, changes to heating, ventilation or sump systems, or flooding.
What isn’t covered
- Changes to the home after installation that affect radon entry or airflow, such as renovations, new slab openings, foundation damage, flooding, or new or altered mechanical systems.
- Tampering with the system, a switched-off or unpowered fan, or neglected maintenance.
- A follow-up test not done to Health Canada’s protocol, or done too early or at the wrong locations.
- Areas, foundations or conditions that weren’t in the signed scope, or that weren’t accessible or disclosed to us before installation.
- Unpaid contracts, and events outside our control.
- Fan replacement after the manufacturer’s warranty period, unless your contract says otherwise.
Warranties
Fan and workmanship warranties are separate from this guarantee and are set out in your contract. This guarantee doesn’t reduce any rights you have under consumer protection law.
